
Dr Gulshan Sachdeva is Director, Europe Area Studies Programme and Associate Professor at the Centre for European Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi. His expertise includes transition economies, European economic integration, regional economic cooperation and Indian Northeast. Presently he is heading a project of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Capacity Building for Regional Cooperation at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kabul, Afghanistan. He is author of The Economy of North-East: Policy, Present Conditions and Future Possibilities (2000), many project reports and monographs. In addition, he has written about 45 papers in national/international journals and edited books. He is also regular contributor to national dailies. He holds Ph. D. in Economic Science from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
